Black Cab London Tours earns a commission when you book a tour through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you. This page sets out exactly how that works and what it does and does not influence.

What we are, and what we are not

Black Cab London Tours is a booking guide. We are not a taxi operator, not a licensing authority, not a tour company and not the seller of anything on these pages. London's taxi trade is licensed by Transport for London; every tour listed here is sold, run and guaranteed by the operator named on its own listing, and the driver who turns up holds their licence, not ours.

How we are paid

Links from these pages to a tour go to Viator or to GetYourGuide, where the booking is made. When a booking follows one of those links, the platform pays us a commission out of its own margin. The price you pay is the price shown on the operator's listing, and it is the same whether you arrive through this site or type the address yourself.

What that does not buy

Operators cannot pay to be listed here, cannot pay for a higher position, and cannot pay to have a detail removed. The order of the tours on our pages is set by rating and review volume, and the three featured at the top are chosen to cover different kinds of day rather than to pay best. Where a listing excludes something a traveller would expect to be included — an admission, a lunch, a gratuity — that exclusion appears on the card.

Where the numbers come from

Prices, star ratings, review counts, durations, caps and inclusions are the operators' own figures, captured from their listings on 2026-09-08. They are a snapshot and they drift: prices in particular are re-pulled on a schedule and can change between those checks. Treat everything on these pages as indicative and confirm the current figure on the operator's own page before you pay.

Facts about the trade itself

The rules about the vehicle and the driver — that every licensed London taxi must be wheelchair accessible, that new taxis have had to be zero-emission capable since January 2018, that the Knowledge of London runs to 320 routes and typically takes three to four years — come from Transport for London, and the page that uses a figure names the source. Where an official source could not be read, no figure is printed at all: that is why no turning-circle measurement appears anywhere on this site, and why the Changing of the Guard is quoted from the Household Division with a note to check it on the day.

Reviews

The traveller comments on these pages are retellings of real reviews left on each tour's own booking listing, with the reviewer's display name, month and star rating as published. Nothing is invented, nothing is padded to reach a number, and the critical reviews stay in. The ratings stay the operators', and none of them is ever marked up as our own structured data.
